Melomania is a complete application that can manage virtually all tasks related to a music collection, like creating and organizing a database, and cataloguing information of all thinkable music formats, from vinyls to MP3 files.
To start with, it will let you create a database, where you can store such information as names of artists and albums, release years, and detailed data of all the tracks.
When creating your collection, you do not need to add tracks manually, as the program has a Media Scanner that can automatically detect media files in your machine and make a catalogue in a few seconds with their tags. Once your collection has been created, there are numerous tasks that Melomania can perform. One of these is to copy music to iPod, USB flash drive or any transportable HDD. Then, if the info is not complete, Melomania can automatically load the missing information on your albums, like the artwork, or photos, etc. You can also export or print lists of your music to MS Excel, MS Word, HTML, or plain text. And rate any album or track using ten-point scale. Besides, it lets you browse your collection easily, as the interface resembles the most popular web browsers with its backwards/forward buttons and tabs, specially convenient for huge music collections.
